Objective To investigate the quality of sleep in paraplegic patients and explore the risk factors that affect sleep disorders. Methods A total of 73 paraplegic patients from Taian disabled soldier′s hospital were selected for cross-sectional survey. According to the Pittsburgh sleep quality index, the subjects were divided into no sleep disorder groupand sleep disorder group. Multivariate logistic regression was used. Analysis identifies risk factors that affect sleep quality. ResultsThe age, body mass index, paraplegia time, motor system disease, pain and anxiety in the sleep disorder group were significantly higher than those in the no sleep disorder group, but the social support was lower than that in the no sleep disorder group. The difference was statistically significant. Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that social support, pain, anxiety, motor system diseases, and age were independent risk factors for sleep disorders. Conclusion Pain, anxiety, motor system diseases, and age have a negative effect on sleep quality, and social support has a positive effect. In the care of paraplegic patients, the influence of these factors should be emphasized.收起
