Nanopatterning of signal-transmitting proteins is essential for cell physiology and drug delivery but faces challenges such as high cost, limited pattern variability, and non-biofriendly materials. Arthropods, particularly beetles , offer a natural model for biomimetic nanopatterning due to their diverse corneal nanostructures.
