- In spite of the introduction of cancer immunotherapy for improving tumor suppression, the modality of this revolutionary treatment has faced a number of challenges because of immune evasion, poor tumor immunogenicity, and resistance in solid tumors. To address these challenges, immuno-photocatalytic nanoparticles have been engineered to enable spatiotemporal activation of antitumor immunity by integrating phototherapy with immune modulation.
