Perovskite solar cells face challenges with intrinsic instability due to photothermal degradation, primarily through iodine volatilization and lead aggregation. To address this, we have developed a supramolecular β-cyclodextrin derivative ) that offers tri-functional benefits: iodine confinement, lead chelation, and redox-mediated defect healing. This innovative approach uses host-guest interactions to confine iodine, while thiol groups reduce iodine to iodide and oxidize metallic lead to lead ions, facilitating continuous repair of lattice defects. The β-CD- enhances real-time passivation of defects at grain boundaries, significantly improving stability during photothermal aging. Integrated into perovskite films, this derivative achieves improved power conversion efficiencies for inverted PSCs and demonstrates remarkable operational durability. Moreover, it also effectively captures lead to prevent lead leakage and ensures the safer use of PSCs. This strategy is universal for different perovskite components and shows excellent potential in tandem applications.收起
