Radiation-induced bladder disease is a common complication following radiotherapy for pelvic tumors. Common symptoms include urinary frequency, urgency, and dysuria, which seriously affect the patients' quality of life and the efficacy of radiotherapy. Radiation-induced bladder disease is a common complication following radiotherapy for pelvic tumors. Common symptoms include urinary frequency, urgency, and dysuria, which seriously affect the patients' quality of life and the efficacy of radiotherapy. Its pathogenesis involves direct damage to bladder epithelial cells and microvascular endothelial cells by ionizing radiation, and the activation of signaling pathways such as transforming growth factor-β, leading to persistent inflammatory responses, oxidative stress, and tissue fibrosis. Preventive measures include optimizing radiotherapy techniques, standardizing bladder filling and voiding training, and pharmacological interventions before and after radiotherapy. Treatment methods include systemic therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and intravesical instillation, etc. For refractory patients, surgical intervention is required. Current research focuses on specific molecular markers and new targets for targeted intervention. Future studies need to further investigate the mechanisms of RIBD to optimize its prevention and treatment measures and improve the clinical prognosis of patients.收起
